. Fucidin Cream (30g) is a topical prescription antibiotic containing 2% fusidic acid, primarily used to treat localized bacterial skin infections. It works by stopping bacteria from producing essential proteins, effectively halting the spread of the infection. Primary Uses Fucidin cream is commonly prescribed to treat skin conditions infected by bacteria, including: • Impetigo: A highly contagious skin infection causing weeping, crusty, and swollen patches. • Infected Dermatitis: Inflammation or eczema that has developed a secondary bacterial infection. • Cuts, Grazes, and Wounds: Minor skin breaks, surgical wounds, or burns that have become infected. • Folliculitis & Sycosis Barbae: Infections affecting hair follicles, often in the beard area How to Use • Frequency: Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily. • Duration: The typical course lasts 7 to 14 days. Always complete the full course prescribed by your doctor, even if your skin looks better, to prevent bacterial resistance. • Application: Gently rub the cream onto the skin. Avoid any contact with the eyes, especially when applying to the face. Wash your hands thoroughly after use unless your hands are the treatment area.
